SkyFonts is a Mac utility that helps you install and easily find the fonts you need for your graphic design projects. This program is very simple to handle, works with various font sharing services, and immediately downloads and installs new fonts from the Cloud to your Mac.
The application lives on your Menu Bar from where you can configure its settings and manage your font styles. The first thing you need to do after installing and launching the program on your Mac is to link it to font sharing service. In my testing, I linked SkyFonts to Google Fonts services. Other services require authentication from the app's interface (you can create personal accounts on the homepages of the supported font sharing services).
The next thing to do is to head to the homepage of the selected font sharing service and find a text style. Save it to your Mac with the help provided by SkyFonts. The app will immediately install the new font on your computer and be revealed in the font list from the main window.
You can always delete the installed fonts from your computer if they're no longer needed. What's more, the app features a built-in search tool for immediately locating the downloaded font you need.
My only problems with this utility are that you still need to use a browser to find and download fonts. It would be a lot easier if the app featured an integrated web browser for immediately locating and downloading the fonts you need.
Still, SkyFonts is a free program and might prove to be of good use if you're looking for new fonts often. It's up to you to decide if it's worth installing this app on your Mac or not.
