On every scene, you will find items that will be placed in your inventory for future use and there are lots of explorable areas that you can zoom in and out.
If you need help, you can use hints, which are unlimited but you will need to wait some time for the meter to recharge until you can use them again. There are no penalties for random clicking, but if you do it, the screen will get locked for a couple of seconds.
