With Musicnotes Player, viewing and playing your favorite sheet music has never been easier. You just need to get a digital sheet music file (mtd file extension) from www.musicnotes.com, and you will be able to view it, play it, and print it with this simple program.
From the Sheet Music Manager, you can view your downloaded files and connect with the Musicnotes site to update and download your purchased items. However, the program includes five free sheets so you can try it before buying something.
After a file is selected, its score is shown in the Main window, where you can play a single note, a selected block, or the entire song; and with the Tempo feature, you can increase or decrease the playback speed.
Among other important features, you can click on any note or symbol and you will get help instantly. Since it supports MIDI, you can select among different instruments to play your music. Besides the GUI, the program installs plug-ins for the most common Web browsers to get and synchronize your sheet music. Additionally, it includes a guitar tuner.
In short, although it is free, Musicnotes Player only plays digital sheet music files, which have to be obtained and purchased from the developer’s site. And due to copyrights, the files can be viewed and played only on one computer.
