A wonderful addition to the My City games

Anyone who’s ever had a kid would know that playing pretend is one of the children’s favorite games. Now, children don’t even need any elaborate dolls and miniature items to play pretend. They can just load up the simulation games developed by My Town Games and they’ll be good. My City: Dentist Visit is another addition to the My City collection of games and it adds new locations, characters, and features to other My City games to make them better, more fun, and even educational.

Gameplay and Graphics

My City Dentist’s graphics and gameplay are consistent with the other My City games. It has a colorful and cartoonish style. It’s a bit amateurish, but that’s kind of understandable considering this game’s target audience of 4-12-year-olds. The character designs have a lot of diversity, though, as they have different body and face shapes as well as hair color and styles.

As with all of the other My City Games, the gameplay of My City: Dentist Visit is a bit limited. You cancreate several characters, dress them up in different clothes, put them in locations, and let them interact with their environments. It’s not very challenging, so it would be wise to take note of the target age when getting this for your kid because it’s not a game anyone above the 4-12 age group will find engaging.

Additional Features

Aside from the built-in features from other My City: Games, My City: Dentist Visit also has new features that add more content to the other games. The most important addition, as noted by its title, is theDentist’s Officelocation. In this location, kids will be able to play as a dentist. They cancheck the characters’ teeth for cavitiesby sending them to an X-ray machine. After that, the characters will be sent to the dentist’s chair and the player can use different dental instruments to fix the patient’s oral problems. The game features a mouth mirror, dental explorer, dental drill, and more.

The dentist’s office isn’t the only new location. There’s also thedentist’s house, a minimarket, a hair salon, a furniture store, and a pizza shop. With the furniture store, you’ll also be able to get more customization options for your My City Home game. You’ll also be able to unlock 20 new characters in the game and that includes the dentist himself and his family.

A Good Game for Kids

At first glance, this game is a bit childish and amateurish, and that’s not a wrong assessment. It’s simple and not very challenging. It may not be a good game for anyone above the target age group, but kids who are in said age group might enjoy this. There’s something to be said about the simplicity of collecting all of the available locations and characters across this collection of games. If you want your kid to play with more challenging material, this might not be the game for you. Otherwise, this is a harmless game that will keep your kid quiet for at least a few minutes.
