This program is, as its name implies, a utility for recording your screen activity. With its help, you can create video tutorials, capture web conferences, and record audio content from your microphone.
My Screen Recorder features easy-to-configure capturing settings, works fast, and provides you with quality output files. You can use shortcut keys to quickly complete various tasks, check the built-in help manual whenever you need, and use the integrated media player to watch the resulting recordings.
In my testing, the utility worked great. It immediately completed any given task and didn't slow down my PC while recording my screen activity.
However, there are a couple of things I don't like about this program. First of all, it supports a few output formats: WMV and AVI for video recordings and WAV, MP3, and WMA for audio recordings. The tool is also missing editing options (for example, it lacks trim, crop, and merge options).
Furthermore, My Screen Recorder doesn't bring you visual effects for mouse activity. For instance, other video recorders provide you with visual effects for mouse clicks. This feature might come in handy when creating video tutorials.
Fortunately, there's a way of getting rid of the aforementioned issues. The Pro edition of the utility is packed with the missing advantages plus more.
Hence, it's up to you to decide, based on your requirements, which of the program editions (Standard or Pro) is the best for you.
