Mystic Diary - Haunted Island is a nice hidden-object game with an interesting and eerie theme about ghosts. Throughout the game, you will visit different locations on an island, which include explorable areas with hidden-object games and puzzles to solve. You can also pick up certain objects that will be placed in your inventory for future use. In the hidden-object games, you will need to find a list of objects that will be crossed out as you find them. Once you find all of them, you will unlock a certain item that you can use in another scene. Every location has a series of goals that you need to achieve in order to proceed to the next one.
If you need help on how to proceed in the game or have trouble finding an object, you can use the hints. These are unlimited, but they take a lot to recharge before you can use them again. Unfortunately, the game includes only one mode and one difficulty level. There are no penalties for random clicking, but if you do it, the screen will get locked for a couple of seconds, which is a bit uncomfortable. Graphics are simple but attractive, sounds are nice, and the music is relaxing.
