Annotations are usually used in photography to prevent copyright infringement, display certain comments or emphasize various areas from the pictures. Nanotate is a program that offers you an easy way to complete the aforementioned tasks and personalize your photos within moments.
The app works with a wide range of image formats, gives you access to various annotation tools, and offers you quality output. What's more, you can use the integrated snapshot tool to take screenshots of your desktop and apply annotations according to your needs.
I like that, once you finish altering the input images, you can upload them to your Imgur account directly from its interface.
An important disadvantage of working with Nanotate is that it supports only one output format (PNG). Even if the input files have extensions like JPEG, HDR or PSD, the results are still saved in the PNG format.
With that being said, I think you can find more appropriate solutions for annotating your pictures. Practically speaking, Nanotate offers all the features that can also be found in the Mac Preview app (default software for viewing and editing pictures on Mac). Furthermore, the app comes with a price, so I'd say it's definitely not worth acquiring it.
