New Year's Day(e) is the continuing story of a single father (MC) and his stepdaughters, Evelynne (Eve) and Dayton (Daye) and their friends Becky and Kaylee. This is the sequel to the story "Christmas Eve" and takes place over the days between Christmas and New Year's. Each Chapter will consist of the events of one day. If you haven't read "Christmas Eve", I encourage you to read it first, but it's not absolutely necessary in order to enjoy this story.
This is a love story of acceptance, overcoming adversity, and healing as the MC's family and friends continue to come to terms with their developing feelings for each other and their grief felt for the MC's late wife, Heather.
Chapter 1 shows us some of the town that our characters inhabit and we meet a few of the other denizens as well. Sparks will fly with some while others are less than amiable.
Chapter 2 is where the drama starts to unfold. Kaylee has a mishap at home, the MC has his job interview, the girls go on a mission, and things start to heat up between the MC and a few of our love interests.
Let's just hope everything goes smoothly for the New Year's Eve party that Dayton is planning.
