NewsRack is an excellent RSS reader for Mac OS X computers. It is also available for iOS devices. It allows you to read your RSS feeds from your desktop without even having to open a web browser. Perhaps its most interesting feature is its ability to synchronize with Google Reader.
I can't live without my RSS feeds. I am obsessed with them. They are simply a great way of getting information delivered to you. I open Google Reader everyday. I have tried an array of RSS readers in the past, but for one reason or the other, I haven't made the switch to a desktop client yet. And after spending some time with NewsRack, I've just did.
I like many things about this app. The most important one is that it has a design good enough that I can simply look at the screen and see a whole article without opening a new window. It has good support for keyboard hotkeys, so I can simply use the keyboard to scroll through my news. Also, I turned down lots of RSS readers because I couldn't see the images and videos that were embedded in some of the articles that I often read. NewsRack does all that. You can simply use the arrow keys to go from the article list to the article itself and read it. If you are a user of Read it Later, Delicious or InstaPaper, you will surely appreciate the built-in support.
All in all, NewsRack is a great RSS reader for the Mac. It will surely be my reader of choice in the future.
