NovaMind is a software application to help you map your thoughts. In other words, it is a thought organizational tool aimed to help you see information in the same way it appears in your mind. Mind maps help you organize and easily remember data and ideas, and can really increase your effectiveness when used properly. NovaMind tries to be the tool you need to achieve that goal.
It has an interface that resembles that of Microsoft Office products, giving you a certain feeling of familiarity. It offers you several options to customize your mind maps, with features like topics shapes, callouts, colored boundaries, etc. You can import and export files from and to Microsoft Word and other products. Links can be added to topics or ideas in order to keep useful web pages at hand, and an alternative outline view is available if you prefer that layout to that of the mind map.
Now, you would think that an application created to help you put your thoughts down would be much more hassle-free. Unfortunately, you will need to go through several tutorials to really exploit NovaMind's potential. Additionally, you still need to keep an eye out for things like formatting, colors, etc., which can be a bit distracting when you simply want to put an idea down. However, if you get past those things, or they are not a trouble for you, you will certainly have a comprehensive and unique tool for organizing and improving your ideas.
