NRadioBox is a simple and neat radio player and recorder that lets you listen to the stream of online radio stations and record them to standalone audio files.
One of the best things about NRadioBox is the fact that it comes with a nice, comprehensive list of over 500 radio stations that you can connect and listen to. These are neatly categorized by genre or language. Furthermore, adding your own stations is also possible. This handy tool supports streams of various types, including ACC, WMA, or M3U. If they're available, the song lyrics will be displayed as well.
Another cool thing about NRadioBox is the fact that it allows you to add your preferred radio stations to a list of favorites, or even share them with your friends on Facebook and Twitter. The interface is easy-to-use and straightforward. It should also be customizable, but the “skins” menu option didn't work during my testing. It also displays ads on its lower side. Another flaw, an even bigger one, that I discovered while trying this tool, is that the recording function didn't work. Though I pressed the “Rec” button on multiple occasions, not once any file was produced on the chosen output folder.
To sum it all up, NradioBox is a nice radio player, but the fact that I couldn't use its recording function was quite a disappointment. Anyway, since it's also free, I still consider that it's worth at least a try.
