Open In is an app extension which brings support for external image editors to Photos.app in El Capitan. This extension helps you open your photographs in any third-party editor you have installed on you Mac and make any changes that you want. After hitting the "Save" button, you can return to Photos.app, since your edits will be stored back inside the Photos library.
