Taking place twenty years after the Metagen-92 virus – aka the “Superflu” – has swept the world and rendered many of its adult population superpowered or mutated, Origin Story follows MC (name customizable), a seemingly normal nineteen-year-old who in any other universe would be a popular and attractive prospect for most girls. But in this universe, his ability hasn't manifested yet. Shunned by most of his meta-gifted peers, MC finds himself a hapless virgin on the lower rung of his school's social ladder, with only a few misfit friends by his side.
Following the death of his parents when he was just a baby, his upbringing in the system was overseen and financially supported by their close friend Parker Samson, the affluent and influential co-owner of the lead organization behind Metagen research and development of the now ineffective Metagen Vaccine. Having recently moved in with the beautiful Parker, and her equally beautiful daughter Riley, MC finds the perpetual state of arousal that comes with the burden of his virginity even more challenging.
When MC is targeted and violently attacked for reasons unknown to him, The Sisterhood – a government-backed team of celebrity superheroines and sex icons - comes to his aid. While under their care, The Sisterhood immediately recognize his worth and hidden charms.
MC soon finds himself juggling his school life, his suddenly blossoming relationships with the women he keeps close, his curious involvement with The Sisterhood and one big secret that could determine whether this is the origin story of a hero, or a villain.
I am a very new developer, and just one guy, with no experience in either Ren’Py or Daz until roughly a year before work on Origin Story began. I spent much of that year learning both, and my skills have improved significantly, but I’m certainly not up there with the big boys of AVNs.
Origin Story is a story-driven and somewhat linearvisual novel though there will be some player choices leading to different paths and content along the way. There are some small free-roaming sections sprinkled throughout the story where the player can explore certain locations with optional conversations and opportunities to learn more about the world in which the game is set. There will be a lot of humor, some dark and disturbing moments, and plenty of moments where you wouldn't want your parents to walk in on you while you play.
I am essentially an amateur at Ren’Py, so anyone looking for a game with complex mechanics might want to look elsewhere. There are no complicated GUIs, affection systems and no mini games planned whatsoever. What I do pride myself on is my renders and looking around at the plethora of other AVNs available, I’d like to think mine would be somewhere approaching the upper echelon of render quality and I'm getting better as I go.
The girls here are all of varied sexual experience. There are some girls who are full on virgins. There are some who are only virgins physically, but not mentally (superpower shit). There are some that you'd be insane to assume are virgins as they're older and attractivebut are not necessarily huge deviants. And there are some that are huge nymphos.
If you are looking for a game with unrealistic expectations of all your available love interests being untainted princesses, this is not it.
While there are some minor scenes showing female characters interacting with other male characters, these are rare and the majority of these do not involve LI characters, though full disclosure, one extremely brief scenedoes.
Regardless, Origin Story comes with a warning and the ability to play in Safe Mode for those who may define such content as NTR (no matter how minor it is), or simply just don't wish to see other male characters having fun. Safe moderemoves these rare scenes andeither replace them with alternate content, or removes them entirely if they do not serve the story. However, I would recommend playing in default mode for the story as I intended it because - I will stress again -these scenes are extremely rare and not the focus of the game.
This may be a dealbreaker for some, but it is what it is. There are currently no animated scenes (well… maybe one and you’ll see exactly why). I have tried it, and so far, I am useless at it. I have played far too many AVNs that would have been decent but for the terrible animations that ruin the overall quality of the package, and until I am better, I do not want Origin Story to be considered among them.
So, at present, all lewd scenes are comprised of static renders only. I do intend to practice and get better at it, but it is so time consuming I cannot completely focus on this under the limited time I have to work on Origin Story. If this ever gains enough traction and supporters to allow me more time to work on this, then by all means I will be putting a lot of focus on improving my animation skills until its good enough to start retroactively replacing static renders with animation.
Not everything is as it seems. If you don't agree with particular things a character does or how they act, bear with it. You may be proven wrong.

Ultimately, because Iam just one guy doing everything and unfortunately, I have the same burdens most people do: a family that also requires my attention, a full-time job, a mortgage to pay. Between working and being a dad tomy four-year-old son, I have very little spare time, and what time I do have I sometimes need to give to my wife. All of this will certainly hinder my ability to get updates out at a reasonable rate, but I will do my best.
Earning something from this Origin Story willhelp free up more time to focus on working on it, help pay my utility bills (which have nearly doubled since I started rendering every free minute I get), pay for new assets, pay for music licensing and pay for new computer parts when the current ones decide they can't handle rendering anymore and just melt away instead. Finally it will just to give me a reason to continue doing it, because I really enjoy it.
Naturally, the dream would be to give up working full time... anyone who says otherwise is lying. But that is exactly what that is: a dream. For now I will continue to sit in my car out of view of prying eyes during my lunch breaks coding on my laptop.
