Panda Cloud Antivirus free edition protects computers against viruses, spyware, rootkits, and trojans for free. It doesn't have many features, users cannot set the parameters of scans, or configure automatic usb vaccinations, but it does remove every intruder it comes across.
The company decided to leave behind its commercial line and entered the freeware market to offer users a taste of this antivirus potential by setting up lightly on the system and leaving the heavy work for the cloud servers.
Though it doesn't have all the features of the full versions, it does have all those that are indeed useful everyday. It offers a Quick Scan and a Custom scan for specific folders, files, and drives, a network connection proxy option, and a reporting feature that will show the user what kind of threats have been detected.
What's new in this version is that the bug of switching between sections has been corrected, and now there is a Recycle Bin pane from which users can recover a false positive file.
This application should be considered a great choice which uses less than 80MB of RAM when scanning.
