Pangya is an online multiplayer 3D golfing game. It features many game modes and it supports tournaments of up to 30 people at the same time. It combines golf simulators with elements from traditional RPGs. Your parameters can be enhanced by various items, like potions and magical rings, and also by the gear you find along the way.

Upon entering the game you'll need to choose a character. There is no real character customization, instead you simply get to pick between a selection of preset models. The only thing you can change is the hair color. After that, you'll be taken directly to the tutorial section. The tutorial is divided into small missions and each one will explain different aspects of the game. It isn't very interactive and you will probably get bored halfway through. It simply takes too long to finish. There is another tutorial to follow, which explains more advanced features. It is designed for those who complete the basic tutorial, or those familiar with golf simulators in general.

You can play online, or practice by yourself in sort of a single-player mode. It is also stated that the game has a family mode, which basically means that up to 4 people can play Pangya simultaneously on the same computer; but, sadly, this mode isn't implemented yet. All the other game modes are available though. The game has a decent player base, and there are a lot of available games to choose from.

The mechanics are very simple, and the developer did a really good job combining elements of RPGs with a golfing game. Hitting the ball requires you to press and hold a key, first to set the power of the shot, and then the accuracy. Another nice thing is that you'll always be able to see the direction and distance of your potential shot, depending on which club you want to use. You'll also get an indication when the terrain is tilted. Each character begins with a preset number of points in each attribute like power, accuracy and so on. Buying new items will increase these numbers and give you an advantage on the field. The clubs will also enhance the performance, giving you more room for error, while still allowing for a quality shot.

It is a very nice and fun game to play. It is very relaxing and suitable for all ages. The fact that it is so popular makes it even better.
