PDF-Converter-Fast is a simple and easy-to-use application designed to convert native PDF files into the most common text-based and image file formats. This tool extracts the content of standard PDFs with ease for further editing.

With a grey-colored and simple interface, the program's appearance is rather unattractive and dull. Still, it is clear-cut and very intuitive, so that any user can manage it without difficulty. Loading files is done exclusively by drag and drop, as additional importing methods aren't provided. You have the ability to add multiple files at once, so that you can enable the conversion in the convenient batch mode. Still, importing entire folders of files is not possible – you need to open the folders in separate windows, select the files you intend to convert, and drag the selected items onto the program.

Source file preview is available in thumbnail mode only. Therefore, you can't actually read the content of the imported PDFs – you can simply take a glance at the pages' layout as a confirmation of a correct file import. However, the range of output formats is quite comprehensive. The array of supported target files includes five text-based formats (Word, PowerPoint, ePub, RTFD, and Text) and five image file types (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, BMP, and GIF). You have the ability to configure a page range for conversion, but unfortunately, this feature isn't of much use with the free version of this program, as this can only convert the first two pages of each PDF document regardless of any page selection.

In short, PDF-Converter-Fast offers a straightforward solution to convert single-page and two-page PDFs into text-based and image files. You can't extract the content of scanned PDFs, since an OCR function isn't provided. Yet, you can turn them into uncompressed image files or output them as pictures within text-based documents.
