PDF to Pages Free is a simple application designed to help you convert PDF documents into iWork Pages. This way, you are able to edit the formatted .pages files with ease in the Pages application.
The interface is clear-cut and intuitive. Once the PDF file you wish to convert is loaded, you can preview it in a generous panel that supports easy navigation between the document pages. In addition, it lets you zoom in or zoom out the displayed content, according to your reading needs. The application allows you to convert the entire PDF document or selected pages. However, with the free version of this tool, you can convert only three pages of a large multi-page PDF. To overcome this restriction, you need to upgrade to the pro version.
The application supports table or graphic area selection for accurate content preservation. Yet, you will find it rather difficult to manage as your mouse movements don't always select the desired area. Furthermore, you have the ability to add columns and rows, split and merge cells, and mark a table area. The result will be saved at a computer location of your choice.
To conclude, this utility offers an easy solution to convert PDF files into Pages. Unfortunately, image or scanned PDFs can't be processed, since the OCR function isn't supported.
