This professional photo editor can be used either as a standalone application or as a plug-in for Photoshop, Lightroom, and Aperture. Its attractive and intuitive interface, together with its one-click filters and effects, make this professional application suitable for amateur and pro photographers alike.
Perfect Photo Suite comprises eight high-end utilities that would make perfect standalone applications on their own. Perfect Effects includes hundreds of customizable one-click effects and filters that can give your best shots a creative touch and help you correct the most common exposure, lighting, and color mistakes. However, if you really want to boost up your photos while getting rid of all possible errors in the process, I recommend you to move to Perfect Enhance and try its many retouching and enhancing features.
Perfect Portrait is a tool specialized in faces and in making them look perfect regardless of whatever blemishes they came with. It will detect any faces on the selected photo automatically, and will offer you all the functionality you need to get rid of whatever imperfections, wrinkles, spots, or lighting errors it may have. The results will surely surprise you. You can then apply to your already-perfect portrait the amazing black and white presets that come with Perfect B&W, or to any other photo, for that matter.
Perfect Resize and Perfect Browse are two other very interesting tools. The former will allow you to enlarge your photographs to sizes that would normally turn them grainy and blurred. This utility comes with dozens of presets that fit the most widely used photo papers of the most widely known manufacturers. The latter, however, is an excellent photo manager and organizer that will let you tag and classify your photo collections regardless of their size and location.
Finally, you can add that extra creative touch to your photographs using Perfect Layers and Perfect Mask. These intuitive and accurate tools will let you add new effects, remove unwanted objects or replicate others, and create layouts and composites using the non-destructive layer technology.
To be honest, Perfect Photo Suite is such a comprehensive application that I cannot imagine how it can integrate with other pro editors such as Lightroom or Photoshop without clashing with their own functionality or – in some cases – even exceeding it. As a standalone application it doesn’t have any reason to envy some of these other renowned tools.
