PhotoArtista - Oil is an image editor for Mac users who wish to turn their favorite portrait or landscape pictures into stunning oil painting photos. This application provides you with numerous artwork templates, gives you access to various output configurations, and lets you compare the original images with the results before exporting the photos.
You can either use one of the offered templates and apply it to the input files or create your own output profile configuring painting settings according to your needs. I like the fact that you can save the used output profile in case you plan to use it in other image editing projects.
The only aspect that bothers me about this image editor is that it supports a small amount of image formats (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, and PSD). Therefore, the program doesn't let you process popular file formats such as SVG, BMP or GIF.
Another not so bad thing about this tool is that it doesn't offer you any support for batch processing.
Nevertheless, PhotoArtista - Oil offers you a very simple way to get the results you require and provides you with high-quality output. Furthermore, the application comes with a very reasonable price. Hence, I'd say it's worth trying this program.
