PhotoSweeper is a utility designed to find and delete duplicated pictures from your Mac. The program lets you choose between multiple types of scan filters, enables you to compare similar images, and helps you immediately reclaim free space on your computer.
This tool might come in handy if you're dealing with a large collection of photos and wish to easily sort it by removing the unneeded file copies. All you need to do is to provide a list or a folder of pictures, select the preferred scan filters, and wait for the program to locate the similar images. Then, you can choose the identical files you want to delete and the utility will immediately complete the given task.
You don't need much computer experience to work with PhotoSweeper as it's very intuitive. Furthermore, it provides you with an option to automatically mark the duplicates, allows you to preview and compare similar images, offers you various sorting options (sort the found duplicates).
My only issue with this tool is that it doesn't feature an option to permanently delete the selected duplicates from your Mac, without sending them to Trash. This isn't a big deal, but it might come in handy to some users.
In conclusion, PhotoSweeper proves to be an efficient image duplicate finder. It's easy to handle, provides you with many useful features, and is cheap.
