PicFocus is a program designed for Mac that enables you to blur any area from your picture, making the rest of the photo pop out. The utility comes with a nicely-designed and intuitive interface, is compatible with a wide variety of image formats, and provides you with quality results in no time.
Once you import the image you wish to edit, you can use your mouse to indicate the area you don't want to be blurred. Configure the output settings according to your needs and click the "Apply" button. If you're not happy with the results, you can always select the "Reset" option and mark the area of interest again.
An important advantage is that the app was thought in such a way that even someone with little experience in graphic design can easily get the quality results he or she needs.
The only thing that bothers me about this program is that, even though it lets you modify various types of image formats, it supports a very small amount of output formats. For instance, it allows you to import and edit PSD files, but you cannot export the resulting picture with the original file extension. You can choose between the following output formats: PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP or GIF.
Still, PicFocus gives you access to high-quality output files and is very simple to handle. What's more, it comes with a very reasonable price. I'd say it's definitely worth buying it for you Mac if you're looking for an easy and quick way to blur your personal pictures.
