Have you ever dreamt of managing your very own maximum security prison? It may not seem an obvious choice for the genre but Prison Architect takes this concept and turns it into a worthy, addictive yet simple video game.
Some might argue life inside is too kind to prisoners these days, but essentials should include an infirmary, a canteen and of course the obligatory workout area to stop your dangerous inmates from turning on each other. If they do get out of control, solitary confinement might also come in useful.
If that wasn't enough, the game has two unique game modes. Story mode puts you in the shoes of a character set for execution after committing a crime inspired by passion. Meanwhile, 'Escape mode' lets you put your prison's security to the test as you take control of an inmate and try to escape from it yourself!
