Progressive Downloader is a utility that enables you to easily and quickly fetch data from the web. This program comes in handy if you need to download multiple large files from the web and avoid using your default browser to do so.
The application comes with a straightforward interface, a comprehensive help guide, and easy-to-configure settings. You can add as many download tasks as you like and immediately fetch them at the same time. The download speed depends on the strength of your Internet connection signal.
Furthermore, you can configure the application to start and stop download processes at any time of the day you like. This feature comes in handy if you don't want Progressive Downloader to slow down your Internet download speed while working on your projects. The app will start fetching the data when you're away from your Mac.
The one thing bothered me: the utility displayed its main window every time I copied a URL to my clipboard. It's an annoying aspect if you don't plan on using the URL in Progressive Downloader and you just need to share the link with other people or paste it to another third-party app.
Still, Progressive Downloader is one of the best download managers I used on my Mac and I will continue to work with it. It's efficient, simple to handle, and free. So, I can't find any reason why you shouldn't at least give it a shot.

- Progressive Downloader emulates the browser you integrated with by sending appropriate user agent value. Check the Connection tab of application preferences to insure the User-Agent option is set to "Default".
- A fix for an issue when running tasks isn't not resumed on relaunch.
- A fix for an issue when a user can see bookmark values if one switches to the Custom tab after an unsuccessful attempt to connect in Browser.
- A fix for an issue when side menu tags are not displayed properly on 10.11.
- A fix for an issue when 302 responses with no location are incorrectly treated.
- Lots of other fixes and improvements as usual.
