PTLens 9.2

PTLens is a graphic editing software application specifically designed for correcting pincushion and barrel distortion, vignetting, chromatic aberration, and perspective in any set of photos contained in a particular folder. Once you fix one of your photographs, the same adjustments will automatically be applied to all the rest. However, you can choose to preview the resulting images at any time.

The program is capable of automatically detecting the camera’s brand and model, once you chose a photo, and will apply a predefined set of adjustments that will optimize its quality, provided that your camera has been previously calibrated by the program. When adding vignetting you will see the image’s borders getting clearer or darker according to your preferences. A similar thing happens with perspective, where you can virtually change the camera’s plane angle either horizontally or vertically. For chromatic aberration, you are allowed to slightly adjust the image’s color balance, as well as apply a powerful digital zoom to it.

PTLens provides the chance to rotate the image 90 degrees clockwise or anticlockwise without any quality loss. Additional corrections you can try are “Fisheye”, which allows you to “sink” the image from the top and the bottom, thus widening the original perspective. Whatever changes you make, you can always use the “Reset” and “Reset All” buttons to undo any applied changes.

Finally, PTLens offers an “Options” window, where you can set an external editor for the images, and other minor informative options, like whether to detect the camera, lens and focal length, the JPG quality, and even the number of processors available in the system.
