"Push" Install is a technology whereby applications can be installed by "pushing" them to a remote computer. This is in contrast to "pull" technology, whereby applications are "pulled" from a central location by the user or some sort of a login script.
Push Installation is simpler for administrators and software developers to utilize for quick, on-the-fly software distribution. The application is selected, the workstations to install it to are chosen, and the application is quickly and easily installed from an administrator's computer.
