QuickField allows you to solve and simulate linear and non-linear problems in magneto statics, transient/AC magnetics, electrostatics, AC/DC conduction, transient/steady state heat transfer, and stress analysis. The most notable feature of Quickfield is its ease of use, most of the procedures are intuitive.

The general steps in solving a problem are: specifying the problem parameters; defining the geometry, part labels and meshes for your model; providing data for the materials, loads and boundary conditions. Once you have this information entered, you can obtain the solution and review the results for post-processing the parameters.

The program also features field picture animation for transient and time-harmonic problems, offers momentary results of integrated values, and allows you to change the presentation mode for sinusoidal quantities, control the phase, view the time table and time plots of integrated quantities, and save partial results for transient problems without waiting to terminate the process. The program also includes many examples for each kind of problems.

The price of the program depends on the type of analysis you need, the price described here is given for the DC Conduction and Electrostatics Analysis.

v5.9.0.1062 [Nov 30, 2011]
1. Temperature-dependent electrical conductivity.
Starting from the version 5.9 QuickField allows taking into account the temperature dependency of the electrical conductivity of each material involved into the DC Conduction, AC Magnetic and Transient Electromagnetic analyses. Following alternatives are now available:
- Electrical conductivity does not depend on temperature;
- Electrical conductivity is temperature dependent, and the temperature in each block is given by a formula with coordinates and time (for transient problems only);
- Electrical conductivity is temperature dependent, and the corresponding temperature field may be imported (to AC magnetic problems only) from the coupled Heat Transfer problem.
2. Magnetic state import into the AC Magnetic analysis.
