If you need to open RAR files on Mac then your options are more limited than on Windows. However, RAR Expander opens WinRAR archives quickly and easily.
RAR Expander can handle single or multi-part archives which is quite useful when expanding a file containing several different video files for example. RAR Expander also works with password protected files archives but of course, you must have the password in order to open them. Note that RAR Expander is exclusively limited to the RAR format - it doesn't open other archive formats like Stuffit Expander does.
RAR Expander is very simple to use. Simply open the RAR Expander interface and browse to the archive you want to open. RAR Expander will then display a brief progress bar as it unzips your files. However, RAR Expander will not attempt to restore damaged or corrupted archives. For that you'll need unRarX which can restore and open damaged archives in some cases.
RAR Expander is a powerful and effective tool for decompressing RAR archives on Mac. If you need to either decompress and compress RAR on Mac, it's an excellent choice.
