RAR Extractor Expert lets you decompress archives. The tool is so easy to use that, most of the times, an archive can be unzipped by simply double-clicking on it, which means that it is not always necessary to interact with its interface.
The best advantage of this tool is its support of a really long list of archive formats. Actually, it is possible that some of the extensions are practically unknown for most people, as they are hardly used nowadays. This makes the tool ideal to extract contents from old archives with rare formats. The product comes with some other desirable features, such as the possibility of decompressing password-protected archives or extract contents from various files in a single operation.
As said, you hardly ever need to interact with the app’s graphic interface, except when you want to set your preferences. There are three tabs for this purpose. The first one lets you select the formats you want to open with the tool by default. The second tab, in turn, allows you to decide what to do about the destination folder. For instance, you can extract the contents to the same folder as the archive, let the tool ask you every time, or set a default folder instead. Likewise, you can choose to create a new folder for the extracted elements. Additionally, it is possible to set some post-extracting tasks, such as opening the target folder and moving the original archive to the trash. Finally, the third tab lets you pick the type of filename encoding. Fortunately, the tool can automatically detect that without your intervention.
All in all, RAR Extractor Expert can meet your needs related to extracting contents from a long array of archive formats. Unfortunately, the tool can only decompress files while the inverse operation of archiving data is not supported. The product can be used for free but it will sometimes offer in-app purchases.
