RarMonkey is a program to extract RAR archive files.
Compression is often used to reduce the size of files to pack them in just one archive for easier distribution. RAR is a popular file compression format.
This program can be associated with the RAR extension, allowing for automatic extraction just by double-clicking on the RAR file. Also, if you have chosen the "Windows Shell Integration" option, it will add an "Extract with RarMonkey” entry to the contextual menu of your Windows Explorer. Finally, you can also drag and drop the RAR files into the program’s window. It will extract spanned or password protected archives, just as the original WinRAR program does.
Once you have extracted the files of an archive, the program’s interface will show you a link to the last used folder.
RarMonkey will NOT compress files into a RAR archive. Its only function is to extract the files it contains. In my opinion, it does not make any sense to install a program that only performs extractions, since there are many free programs out there that can also create RAR containers.
