RecentX is one of the best application and file launchers I have ever used. The program remembers recently used files or applications and gives you one click access to all of them.
A tiny slide bar of the program covers very small space on the desktop that shows a menu when a mouse cursor is hovered over it. The program remembers recently used items in four lists named: files, folders, programs and websites. You can also search for a file or application using keywords in these lists. Different types of tags and filters can help you to find items older than weeks or months. You can also search for any image or text file among thousands of files using the filters.
Using the program, you can open any webpage in two seconds and much faster than using your web browser. The program also allows you to set hotkeys to launch the recent files or folders lists if you are a keyboard user and do not like to use your mouse.
Shortly, the program is a gem for office use where every second counts. It saves you from navigating through deep folders to find files and folders. Good graphics, an easy user interface and well-planned features of the program make it a program for all.

- The data files that RecentX creates are now smaller & faster to access. Improves RecentX performance significantly.
- Spinning wheel (mouse cursor) appeared frequently not allowing the user to access RecentX for several seconds. This has been fixed.
- Sometimes the sidebar would disappear permanently. This has been fixed.
- In certain cases, Clipboard list would show 'Out of memory' message. This has been fixed.
- It was not possible to show or sort the columns by 'Tags' using the Options menu. This has been fixed.
- Columns settings under Clipboard category weren't saved. This has been fixed.
