MS Word is one of the most popular and widely used word processors. The program features a wizard in which you only need to select the file you want to recover and follow the wizard's directions. The program can detect automatically all the recoverable Word files in your system. It is advisable that you make backups of the damaged files before attempting to recover them, and the program reminds you to do so. Then, you can select the output folder and begin the recovery process. The program works fast in general, but its speed depends on the length of the file. Maybe the only drawback is the cost of the application, which is not very affordable. Nevertheless, if you work with a lot of Word files, then it may be a wise investment.
The new version of the program is compatible with Word 2007 and 2010, that is, it can recover Word documents in the DOCX format. It is also compatible with Word for Mac OS.
