Reflector is a utility that enables you to wirelessly mirror a wide variety of devices, such as iPhones, Android tablets or Windows phones, to your Mac computer. This tool might prove to be of good use if you want to record video tutorials that show how to use the apps you developed on supported media gadgets.

Some of the supported media devices come with default tools that help you connect the gadgets to your Mac, while others require the installation of third-party programs. In my testing, I used an Android smartphone and had to install a Google tool in order to mirror the device to my Mac. The entire configuration process is very short and requires minimum computer knowledge.

Reflector updates its main screen in real-time and plays the audio perfectly. What's more, it lets you choose between multiple themes for its main window and gives you access to a quick way to disconnect the mirrored gadget.

Furthermore, the integrated video recording tool worked flawlessly and I was able to capture quality snapshots of my phone's screen. Sadly, Reflector doesn't provide you with any recording or editing options for the recordings (the ability to highlight taps, add annotations, etc.) and the list of output formats is quite short (MP4 for videos and PNG for screenshots). Still, the tool achieves its goal delivering you real-time mirroring and quality output files for the recordings and screenshots.

To conclude, Reflector proves to be a reliable solution for mirroring your media devices to your Mac. It's very simple to handle, works great, and comes with a fair price.
