Play your classic Dreamcast games with Reicast

Reicast is a free Dreamcast emulator, an app that allows you to play games from this classic console on your mobile device. You'll need to add your own Dreamcast BIOS and software -- this is just the software that allows you to run them on your modern device. If that sounds complex, it can be. But the reward is the opportunity to play some classic games.

Simple but complex

Reicast isn't a visually flashy product. The screen you see when you start looks like what it is: a file manager. Within this file manager you'll create the structure you need to play your games. Once you're playing, the inputs will appear on your screen. Although they're pretty unobtrusive, these games weren't designed to be played this way, which can make them a little inconvenient. The graphics look amazing -- indeed, many Dreamcast games actually look better on modern mobile screens. You can play using an external controller, but it requires a little tinkering. This is definitely an app for enthusiasts, so be prepared to put in some work to get it running as you want.
