Release Reminder is a Mac application that helps you monitor launch dates for your favorite books, DVDs, and music albums. The program features a straightforward interface, comes with an efficient search tool, and gives you direct access to websites like Amazon, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
The program worked perfectly the first time I launched it. I used the search tool to find authors and music, checked release info for a DVD, and marked a couple of novels as Favorite. The app worked flawlessly. However, after I shut it down and relaunched it, the application failed to open. I'm not sure if my Mac is responsible or there's a problem with the program. I even reinstalled the utility, managed to use it for one session, and when I restarted it, the app failed to launch again.
Also, if the developers find and resolve the aforementioned issue, it would be nice if they'd add the integration with iTunes feature. This way, the application could scan your iTunes library and display release info for new books, music or movies based on your current collection.
Hence, I don't think it's worth installing this program on your Mac until it makes the aforesaid changes.
