Rename is, as its name suggests, a program that helps you change the file name of your documents. This application might come in handy if you're a system administrator, experienced photographer or any other type of user who requires a quick and efficient way to batch rename files.
The app provides you with a clean and intuitive interface so you can easily get the results you require. All you need to do is select the files you wish to rename, opt for the proper output settings, and click the Rename Files button from the bottom of the screen. An important advantage is that the app takes only a few moments to apply the necessary file name changes.
Another good aspect is that the program allows you to quick preview any loaded files before launching the renaming process.
The only thing I don't like about this utility is that it doesn't offer you any support for batch renaming folders, a feature that comes in handy when organizing directories on your Mac.
All in all, it's worth installing this application on your Mac as long as you only need it for batch renaming files. If you require to change the name of folders, I'd suggest you to try other programs.
