RingID is a free and fully functional platform which can be used to make voice and video calls. As it is a lightweight package, it can be a great alternative to larger programs such as Skype. This software will support 3G and 2G connections.
A handful of standard features include the ability to share multimedia files and to create private chat circles with friends and family. A 'secret chat' option will guarantee greater levels of privacy and control. It is also interesting to note here that RingID can be thought of as an additional social media platform. Users will be updated on a consistent basis via a live news feed. So, it is quite easy to keep informed and to know what their friends and family are up to.
