RSS Bot - News Notifier is a Mac utility that helps you keep track of the latest news being shared by the websites you like. The program is packed with many useful features, provides you with easy-to-configure settings, and sits quietly on your Menu Bar, without slowing down the performance of other running tools.
After you import the RSS feed URLs, you can configure the utility to display notifications when new articles are being shared. You can always refresh the RSS content from the main menu of the tool.
Sadly, in my testing, I experienced the same problem as other users faced according to their reviews from the product's Mac App Store page: the program fails to import OPML files. The OPML file I tried to load wasn't corrupted or lacked any necessary info in order to be imported correctly. RSS Bot - News Notifier simply displayed a window with a message telling that feeds are being imported. However, the program just freezes didn't import any data, and I had to restart it in order to get back to testing the rest of its features.
Other than that, nothing bad can be said about this program. You can import RSS feed URLs one by one and keep track of the latest news. The utility runs silently in the background, without using any CPU resources.
All in all, I think it's worth giving RSS Bot - News Notifier a try, see how it works on your Mac, and then decide if it's worth keeping it or look for a different RSS feed tool. The program comes without a price, so, you have nothing to lose.
