Calculating the sample size required for a randomised, controlled trial can be difficult. This sample size calculator will help to calculate sample sizes for trials with binary and continuous outcomes, including cluster trials. The calculator is based on a calculator developed by the Health Services Research Unit at the University of Aberdeen, UK.
