This application enables you to change your desktop wallpaper to an image showing the satellite view of your current location. The program lives on your Menu Bar, brings you easy to configure settings, and comes without a price tag.
You can choose from a wide variety of map styles. They can be found in the Preferences panel. After you select the preferred map style, zoom level, and image effect, the program automatically updates your current wallpaper with the proper satellite view.
There's also an option in the main menu of the application for those who want to check the satellite view in their default web browser. In addition, you can configure the utility to launch at system login if necessary.
My only issue with this program is the fact that it doesn't provide you with an option to undo wallpaper changes or go back to your previous desktop image.
Other than that, not much more can be said about this application. It does exactly what's being said on its homepage, without slowing down your Mac in the process. So, I'd say it's worth installing this open source utility on your Mac.
