Screen Recorder-Std is a utility for capturing short videos of the Mac screen. It allows for 200 seconds of recording to be captured.
After clicking the record button, a countdown will start before recording. The countdown can be set to last up to nine seconds or not to start at all. The record screen size can be set to full screen or customized in terms of width and height. The resulting movie will be opened with QuickTime Player. There are three video formats supported by this application, respectively animation, MPEG-4 video and H.624. Audio data can also be recorded, respectively from: the built-in microphone, built-in input, Soundflower 2ch and 16 ch. Soundflower is a system extension for Mac OS X that allows applications to pass audio from one to another. In order to record computer audio, another free application needs to be installed, GeatdyAudioDevice.
