Screenote is a program designed for Mac users who wish to record their screen activity from the desktops.
The application comes in handy when you want to make a game walkthrough, a video tutorial, a screen presentation, or something like that. Screenote places its icon on your Menu Bar where you can configure its settings according to your needs and start / stop the video recordings. You don't require much video manipulation experience as the app is designed for both beginners and professional users.
Once you complete your recording, the program lets you preview it and export the clip to your local directories. What's more, it offers you a very simple and quick way to share your recordings via various websites, like Vimeo, Dropbox, etc.
However, I've tested many similar apps and I have to say that Screenote isn't the best solution on the market. It doesn't offer an option to record a certain area from the screen (it records the entire screen, though you can crop the final result), it doesn't let you add visual effects to mouse clicks, etc.
Another thing I don't like about this program is the fact that you need to download and install an additional tool in order to record computer output audio.
In my opinion, you should try other applications if you need to record your screen activity. Even though this utility comes with a reasonable price and offers you quality results, it offers a small amount of features that, in general, are not worth acquiring it.
Flexible screen capture and recording utility for Mac OS X which features a floating capture window, several saving options, and resize ability.
