Screenshot Path is intended to overcome some of the drawbacks of using the system’s default tool for taking shots of your screen. The program has such a straightforward interface that it is absolutely impossible for anyone to have problems to use it. In fact, it has just one window from where you can carry out all the possible operations.
The program does not substitute the built-in screenshot taking tool; instead, it helps you set various output parameters. Thus, one of the major impacts of using this product are that your desktop will not get cluttered with lots of screenshot files, as it lets you pick a customized destination instead. Fortunately, all that is required is dragging and dropping the desired folder; moreover, you can browse the disk and select the path the usual way.
In addition, the program lets you activate other options, such as including timestamps as part of the image filenames and dropping a shadow around the border of the window. It is also good that you do not need to save the screenshots in PNG format and you can use other picture formats, like JPG and TIFF.
All in all, I would not say that Screenshot Path is one of those indispensable utilities. Yet, as part of my work as a software reviewer, I need to take screenshots of the program’s windows all the time, so I am glad that there is a tool like Screenshot Path, which really helps me organize my work better and save some time. As a recommendation, I would have liked that the tool allowed me to use custom hotkey combinations for taking snapshots.
