Shiver: Moonlit Grove tells the story of a young man who follows the footsteps of his adoptive father as a doctor. The game is filled with various plot twists, plays spine-chilling background music and sound effects, has nicely-drawn artworks, and provides you with plenty of challenging puzzles.
You were adopted by a doctor called Rene Malot who went missing out of the blue. On your way to your new practice office you're attacked by a wolf and end up in a spooky town. From that point on you start exploring various locations and searching for clues, all in the hopes that you will reach your destination - your practice office. On your adventure you will also learn new things regarding the disappearance of your father.
Each new location comes with a certain amount of puzzles and hidden object mini-games. You can use the Hint option whenever you're unsure how to complete a challenge. Furthermore, the app automatically saves your progress and keeps track of important notes in a journal.
I enjoyed playing this game a lot mostly because it didn't offer that fantasy-set storyline I got used to (most hidden object games bring romantic/fantasy plots). Everything from the way its scenes were drawn to creepy sound effects (wolves howling) and fascinating characters really did the trick in recreating a spooky world filled with mystery.
So, I think you should buy Shiver: Moonlit Grove if you're into this type of puzzle games.
