SideNotes is intended to help you take notes. Thus, it can lead to an increase in your productivity as you will have necessary information at your fingertips. Above all, it is very convenient that the application does not interfere with your normal workflow. In this regard, notes are automatically displayed or hidden at the edge of the screen.

The application allows creating notes in different ways. For example, you can drag an image from the browser or a file from Finder, as well as paste content directly from the clipboard, and then let the tool do its part. Similarly, it allows different types of notes according to their content. Thus, you can also save links and code snippets. Like other similar applications, SideNotes supports creating convenient to-do lists.

Good news is that SideNotes supports three different types of formats. Thus, more advanced users, in addition to Plain Text, can take advantage of using the Markdown language. Similarly, programmers will surely appreciate the ability to write code.

Notes can be kept organized at all times. There are two ways to achieve this: use colors to differentiate them or place them in a folder system. Although the notes are properly protected from intruders, it is good that they can be shared with other users via Messages, Reminders, Notes, and Dropshare. However, it is a shame that the app probably has too many limitations when it comes to syncing data with other devices.

Overall, SideNotes is an unobtrusive app that allows you to create quick notes and access them in the blink of an eye. The notes can contain any type of information such as images, text or code. This product can be purchased from the Mac App Store.
