Simple Text Locator is a handy application designed to help you find the files containing the words and phrases of your choice. This way, you can find quickly a specific piece of text, even if you don't remember which file contains it. The tool highly reduces the area of your search by applying simple, yet helpful scanning filters.

The program comes with a simple and intuitive interface, so that you can manage it with ease. Selecting the folder you wish to scan is done easily either by browsing your computer from within the application or by typing the folder's name within the "Search folder" box. Then, you just need to enter the text you want to search for and enable the scanning process. For accurate text identification and a convenient display of the results, the utility provides you with three scanning filters. The scanning will take into account the words and phrases you entered in the text field and will process the information in two ways. Normally, it detects the files containing the specific text. Yet, the search criteria can be reversed - as a consequence, all files not including the text input will be displayed. For more accurate results, the case sensitive filter can be selected as a search alternative.

Once the scanning process is over, the program will show you the identified files within the list panel along with additional information, such as the number of text occurrences and the line numbers where the text is located within each file.
