Singer Song Reader is a Mac utility that comes in handy if you're throwing a karaoke party at your house and wish to have immediate access to the lyrics of your favorite tunes. This program also provides you with detailed information regarding the artist playing the identified song and allows you to save the fetched lyrics to your local directories.
The application supports the iTunes tool. So, every time you start playing a song in iTunes, this program immediately starts searching for tune information and displays it in its main window. You can configure the utility to automatically export the fetched lyrics info to TXT files on your local folders.
In my testing, the program immediately displayed the lyrics for the songs I played in iTunes. I listened to 3 different songs, 2 of them not so popular. Singer Song Reader also exported the lyrics as TXT files within moments, without slowing down the performance of my Mac.
Still, most of the information that's being offered by this application can easily be found in your default web browser.
In conclusion, I think it would worth installing this program on your Mac if it would offer you more features, like support for additional music players or audio source types (web browser, microphone, etc.).
