Skim by the Skim Team is a comprehensive document reader, designed for MacOS, that allows individuals to easily view, edit or annotate miscellaneous PDF files. The biggest difference between this utility and other PDF readers consists of the ability to read and annotate scientific papers.
Its interface looks like any other document reader GUI. It includes a main menu and various configuration tabs. There are a few theme customizations, but unfortunately no extra skin themes. The icons look good, but they're not unique.
With Skim, individuals have the possibility to perform a wide range of actions. From simply viewing PDF files, highlighting test, or making snapshots to adding effects to presentations, or exporting notes as text.
Apart from those mentioned above, the program provides support for Apple Remote Console, has automatic download of remote PDF's and lets users to add bookmarks.
All things considered, Skim by the Skim Team is a reliable Mac utility, with various embedded functionalities. It misses document signatures, but this is just a minor con.
