SlotRush HD is a fast-paced, arcade driving game for the Mac. In this game you control slot cars. For those of you who don't know what a slot car is, they are small cars that were designed to run on tracks and were controlled by remote control. I used to play with them when I was a kid and they were a lot of fun. In SlotRush HD, you can play against a human opponent or the computer. The objective of the game is to finish the race before your opponent. This sounds far easier than it is. The first difficulty that you will face when you play this game is that your car will go out of the tracks constantly unless you really keep an eye on your speed. If you don't brake in the turns, you are in for a lot of lost time. Every time your car goes out of the circuit, a small helicopter puts you right on the track so you can continue racing. Most races are done when either player completes 10 laps. The game also features power-ups that you can use to slow down your opponent or increase your speed momentarily. These include a missile attack, an oil patch on the tracks, and shields that make you immune to your opponents attacks.
