SmallDVD is an application that allows users to easily create DVD images using video files. It does this by employing a simple and effective graphic user interface, with settings available for dealing with different video aspect ratio and formats. Even more so, SmallDVD is free to use.
What makes this tool particularly appealing is that it enables the addition of multiple video files into the image. Users can create a DVD menu, complete with custom button font, font size, highlight color, button width and border.
With SmallDVD users can create DVD images with 19:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio, as PAL or NTSC formats.
Using SmallDVD is quite simple; all you have to do is add one or multiple video files from the File menu and press the Create DVD button. If you add a certain format that is not natively supported, the application will automatically convert it.
Note that SmallDVD requires the preinstallation of iMagine Photo.
Briefly, the utility makes for a very convenient DVD image creator. It is simple to use, features a few customization settings and is completely free.

You can now:
specify the colour of the buttons, labels, and the highlight and select colours used when navigating the DVD
choose to use a solid colour as the background instead of an image file
choose whether the buttons should have borders (I always thought this was necessary, but turns out they weren’t).
I’ve also improved (I hope) the logic about which menu settings get saved in the template.
There is known problem when selected dark coloured labels on a dark image background. The button borders show up, but the text doesn’t. I think this is a bug/oddity in iMagine Photo which is used to create the menus. If you use a solid background, or lighter colours, it’s OK.
