SmarterMail is a smart feature-rich Windows mail server that can help companies collaborate and communicate. Today, when it comes to the success of a business, I believe the most important thing is communication and team-work. SmarterMail is what helps communication between desktop and mobile devices, so you are always in touch with everything you need, starting from email and ending with file management. This is possible thanks to synchronization, which also includes a translation function: it detects the browser language and it automatically synchronizes data into that specific language. I really appreciate this feature because it provides flexibility and better communication. But there is more to it. SmarterMail can even work as a primary mail server or can reduce primary server load by acting as an outgoing gateway. It can also act as a back-up server in case the primary server goes down. Another feature I find attractive is the fact that SmarterMail pays special attention to security issues such as password compliance, password retrieval and spam protection by means of pre-scanning the incoming messages. It can even host third-party antivirus and antispam software, such as Declude, Trend Micro Server Protect, or JunkMail. And it has a wide range of features especially designed to help administrators, among which the most attractive, in my opinion are: the possibility to manage administrative tasks via a Web-based administration interface and automate tasks via Web services (APIs). I think SmarterMail is really complex without being difficult to use.
